Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer/Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing structural analysis, design, and engineering calculations for a variety of building projects including commercial, residential, and industrial structures. This role requires strong technical expertise in structural systems and proficiency with industry-standard analysis software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, and wood structures
  • Develop engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation
  • Utilize structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, RISA3D, RAM, or similar) to model and analyze complex structural systems
  • Create and review structural drawings and specifications using CAD software
  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable U.S. Building Codes and industry standards
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines
  • Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during construction phases
  • Conduct site visits and inspections as needed
  • Participate in quality control reviews and design optimization
  • Mentor junior engineers and drafters as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in structural engineering and design
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, RISA3D, RAM, or equivalent)
  • Strong CAD drafting skills (AutoCAD or similar)
  • Solid understanding of structural analysis principles and methodologies
  • Experience designing steel, concrete, and wood structural systems
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Building Codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice To Have

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Revit Structure
  • Familiarity with seismic and wind load analysis
  • Experience with renovation and retrofit projects
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices

Additional Information

  • Homebased, must have at least 25 mbps internet connection
  • M to F, 9pm to 6am Manila Time
