With over 30 years of experience in semiconductor innovation, we bring that purpose to life across every part of the business—from breakthrough product development and customer success to how we show up for each other and the communities we serve.

The Opportunity

Allegro is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics & Calibration (E&C) Technician to join our technical support team. In this hands-on role, you will be a key player in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the sophisticated instruments and machinery that drive our semiconductor production. From performing intricate PCB repairs to managing the calibration of critical measuring equipment, your expertise will directly impact our operational precision and product quality. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys variety in their work—ranging from electronic troubleshooting to mechanical assembly—within a world-class manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

  • Master Electronic Repair: Perform routine repairs on printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic components, instruments, and complex electronic assemblies, including precise component removal and replacement.
  • Manage Calibration & M&TE: Take responsibility for the periodic maintenance and calibration of all instruments and systems categorized as Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE), ensuring they meet Allegros rigorous accuracy standards.
  • Support ESD Control: Execute the qualification and verification of ESD control items to maintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment.
  • Lead Microscope & Optical Maintenance: Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for benchtop microscopes, ionizers, and specialized equipment optics. You will dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble equipment using technical manuals and diagnostic instruments.
  • Conduct Incoming Inspections: Perform functional testing, evaluations, and sampling procedures for incoming fabricated machine parts to ensure they meet engineering specifications.
  • Analyze Data & Support Engineering: Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate technical data. You will manage data collection for Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and may collaborate with engineers on experiments or prepare technical reports for problem resolution.
  • Inventory & Documentation: Maintain a proactive spare parts inventory for the E&C section and assist in developing new technical methods and procedures.

What Will You Bring?

  • A Technology graduate degree with a specialty in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation.
  • Alternatively, a combination of related education and 2 years of experience in a similar technical role.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in Electronics Theory and Applications.
  • Adequate knowledge of Laboratory Practices and Analytical Techniques.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A meticulous approach to technical documentation and data collection.
