This role is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects within healthcare organizations. The individual will serve as a key liaison between the client and Optum Connect, ensuring seamless coordination and successful project delivery. The Project Manager will have end-to-end ownership of critical client assignments, including direct client-facing interactions and calls.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end projects (clinical and non-clinical) for client initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with healthcare regulations and organizational goals
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation plans
Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure smooth execution
Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders, maintaining transparency throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain comprehensive documentation for audits and compliance purposes
Drive status update calls with client leadership and act as the primary point of contact
Mentor team members and build project management capabilities within the team

Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in healthcare
People management experience
Good experience of any of the project management tool e.g. MS Project, ServiceNow
Basic understanding of the IT infrastructure/SDLC
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and manage competing priorities effectively
Proven solid team-oriented skills and ability to lead cross functional teams
Proven solid communication skills. Must have prior experience working with onshore clients
Proven solid orientation toward customer service and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or equivalent certification
Agile experience
Familiarity with HIPAA or other compliance standards
