The Client

A software company specializing in automated financial transaction monitoring across Australia and New Zealand, helping organizations detect errors, prevent fraud, and improve financial controls using AI-driven solutions. Their platform processes over 50 million transactions annually, delivering significant cost savings and efficiency gains for clients across multiple industries.

The Role

• Lead front-end development for the SaaS platform, with support across back-end development as required
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and enhancement of a 2-year-old application entering its next stage of feature expansion and technical maturity
• Work within a small, agile team to deliver high-quality, scalable, and commercially practical solutions
• Understand business use cases, workflows, and customer requirements to develop effective solutions with minimal detailed specification
• Bring initiative, creativity, innovation, and strong technical judgment to the role
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of front-end features using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and MUI
• Contribute to back-end development, integration, and application logic as needed
• Develop clean, maintainable, scalable, and high-performing code
• Work across the full SDLC: analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Improve application usability, performance, responsiveness, and customer experience
• Collaborate within a small team (4-5 members) in a dynamic environment
• Take ownership of tasks with minimal specifications
• Participate in architecture, technical problem-solving, and feature planning
• Support continuous improvement of standards, processes, and release quality
• Contribute ideas and innovation for both platform and team improvements
• Assist in testing, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and production support

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong commercial experience in React (front-end development)
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
• Experience with modern UI frameworks (preferably MUI)
• Working knowledge of back-end development and API integration
• Experience with PostgreSQL (ClickHouse or similar is a plus)
• Exposure to AWS services (e.g., CloudFront, S3)
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Experience working in agile environments with changing priorities
• Ability to quickly understand business workflows and application logic
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong English communication skills
