Our client is now looking for a Senior Shopify Plus Developer to join their growing team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting directly to the Australia-based Head of Digital & eCommerce as part of the Digital & eCommerce team, you’ll lead the ongoing technical development, performance, and scaling of our client's high-volume Shopify Plus store.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Engineers & Customizes Storefronts: Build, customize, and optimize high-converting Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Integrates Systems & APIs: Build and maintain custom API integrations connecting Shopify Plus with ERP, POS, CRM, inventory, and fulfillment platforms using GraphQL, REST APIs, and webhooks.
• Optimizes Site Performance & SEO: Diagnose technical issues, improve page speed metrics, and elevate Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, and overall storefront stability.
• Manages Complex Data & Catalogues: Support large-scale product launches, multivariate catalog setups, custom metafields/metaobjects, and bulk catalogue operations using Matrixify.
• Implements Modern Shopify Features: Upgrade and innovate storefront workflows using Shopify Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, Shopify Flow, and custom app features.
• Drives CI/CD & Code Quality: Manage technical workflows, code reviews, deployment environments, automated testing, and version control using Git.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of professional web development experience with a strong focus on Shopify Plus and Liquid theme development.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end workflows.
• Hands-on experience developing custom integrations using Shopify GraphQL APIs, REST APIs, and Webhooks.
• Deep experience managing complex product structures, variants, metafields, metaobjects, and bulk catalogue imports.
• Strong mastery of Git version control workflows and deployment pipelines.
• Proven root-cause debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate complex technical issues.

Bonus Points For:

• Hands-on experience with Shopify Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, or custom app development using Node.js, React, or TypeScript.
• Experience with search/merchandising platforms (e.g., Algolia), marketing automation (Klaviyo, GA4, GTM), or booking systems.
• Background in ERP, POS, inventory system integrations, or bulk catalogue tools like Matrixify.
