The Opportunity
Allegro is seeking a highly analytical and proactive individual to join our team as a Process Technician, playing a crucial role in supporting assembly problem investigation, engineering evaluations, and process improvement initiatives. In this position, you will be instrumental in gathering and analyzing critical data, assisting engineers with experiments, and contributing directly to yield enhancement and cost reduction efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in semiconductor manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for applying technical knowledge to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic production environment.
What You Will Do
Perform Data Gathering & Analysis: Conduct thorough data gathering and analysis for assembly problem investigations, engineering lot supervision, and engineering experiments. This includes functional tests, dimensional measurements, visual inspection results, and lot history from SPC Log of Activities and other pertinent quality records.
Support Engineering Evaluations & Experiments: Assist engineers in the conduct of evaluations and experiments aimed at process and yield improvement, process setup and development, and cost reduction.
Process Yield Data: Collect and process yield data to aid in yield trend analysis, defects monitoring, and other related yield concerns, providing crucial insights for operational decisions.
Prepare Materials & Samples: Prepare samples or materials to be used for various evaluations and experiments, ensuring readiness for testing.
Maintain Records & Files: Collect and maintain pertinent records and files for engineering reference, ensuring organized and accessible documentation.
Report Activities: Prepare monthly summaries of activities and projects completed, providing a clear overview of progress and contributions.
Support Process Sustaining & Maintenance: Contribute to the sustaining and maintenance of production processes, ensuring stability and reliability.
Perform Other Duties: Execute other related duties as assigned by your superiors, demonstrating flexibility and support for team objectives.
What Will You Bring
A graduate of at least a 3-year technology course or has completed at least 3 years of any engineering course.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar capacity in a semiconductor setting.
Knowledge of key semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical theories, and familiarity with appropriate electrical, electronic, and mechanical tools and instruments.
Capability to effectively use problem-solving tools.
Proficiency in computer use and office software.
Knowledge of statistical analysis.
Capability of performing Design of Experiments (DOE).
Ability to generate technical reports and define manufacturing specifications.
Ability to apply core tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP).
