We are looking for a stellar Senior Planner to join our team here in McCann Philippines, Inc. The Senior Planner works closely with the Strategy team by contributing to the strategic process through brief generation, research design, implementation and analysis, and intelligence support. This person will be leading the charge on unearthing killer insights to inspire their creative briefs, partnering with their creative teams throughout the development process, all while being laser-focused on driving demand for our clients.
This person will facilitate crafting and presenting compelling storylines, arguments, POVs, and cases across various areas of the clients business. They will be essential to the continued success of our creative work, which is fully integrated across traditional, experiential, comms, digital and social.

What You Will Do
The Senior Planner for McCann Worldgroup will be required to:
Be a significant contributor to the development of the overarching brand and product strategies for clients, collaborating closely with internal teams to bring the work to life.
Positively impact the creative product through sharp insights and inspiration and ensure the overall briefing processs quality.
Collaborate with internal teams to build breakthrough campaign work that forges solid emotional connections between the brand and the consumer across all channels.
Identify critical insights from research and data that can help inform content and campaign planning and optimization.
Be a dynamic part of the team, marrying business strategy and consumer insights with a deep working knowledge of the social and digital ecosystem.
Develop good relations and rapport with the client, and emit confidence while presenting work.
Partner closely with your counterparts in Creative, inspiring fresh, original ideas rooted in culture and human and business insight.
Develop strong working relationships with your counterparts in Business Leadership and with Clients, forming the basis of trust and action to move those creative ideas from theory to reality.
Champion data-driven insights and advocate the use of appropriate insighting tools to fuel compelling brand strategies.

Other Characteristics Of a Senior Planner
Bachelors degree in a related field required.
At least 3+ years of agency or related marketing experience required.
Strong working knowledge of research and fundamental marketing concepts marketing basics.
Culturally plugged in, agile, and mindful of the way culture is shifting within the space.
Able to move in and interact with a diverse range of internal and external constituencies.
Entrepreneurial and comfortable working within an unstructured, evolving environment.
Crisp thinker and communicator – verbally, visually, and in writing.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to navigate high volume.
See strategy as a team sport, drawing on your expertise and others in brand, digital, social, comms, data, behavioral and experiential strategy… and whatever comes next.
An ambidextrous strategic thinker and do-er, but with a passion/specialty – not a bland generalist.
