The Opportunity

Allegro is looking for a meticulous and proactive Materials Management Specialist to join our dynamic team, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of materials that power our production. In this position, you will be at the heart of our inventory operations, from precise issuance and receipt management to optimizing storage and coordinating with various internal and external partners. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who thrives on accuracy, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you are detail-oriented, have a strong understanding of inventory principles, and are eager to contribute to operational excellence, you will find significant growth and impact here at Allegro.

Verify the correctness of quantities and part numbers against Move Orders and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Optimize Inventory Management: Implement and monitor the "First In, First Out" (FIFO) method for material issuance and arrangement. Conduct daily cycle counts of precious metals and weekly cycle counts of all direct and indirect materials.
  • Manage Material Flow & Storage: Oversee the proper handling and storage of all materials and spare parts. Coordinate thawing of molding compounds and manage the replenishment and availability of materials in production stores and cold storages.
  • Support Production & Quality: Expedite urgent materials under IQC evaluation and coordinate with Assembly/Test Process Engineering for new material qualifications. Monitor expiration dates and manage NCR/Waiver processes for affected material lots.
  • Handle Returns & Repairs: Process returned reject materials from production and worn-out spare parts, ensuring proper surrender and replacement procedures. Monitor the status of items sent for repair and follow up with relevant teams.
  • Maintain Data Integrity & Reporting: Accurately transact all withdrawals in Oracle, ensuring correct entry of issued inventory materials and lot numbers. Generate monthly spare parts Oracle reports and other relevant reports for analysis and discrepancy resolution.
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate Forklift/Reach Truck, Foton Van, and Shuttle Car for material retrieval and transfer to staging areas.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend systems and policies to enhance department services, effectiveness, and efficiency. Ensure the implementation of "5S" principles in all storage areas and individual workspaces.
  • Ensure Security & Compliance: Be responsible for the security of all material storage areas. Ensure Oracle system locators align with actual stock locations.

What Will You Bring?

  • A College Graduate qualification.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in handling inventory and warehousing within a manufacturing company.
  • Proficiency in computer software and the Oracle System.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate/drive a forklift and Van (with a professional Driver’s license).
