Your Role

As a Power BI Developer, you will:

• Administer and maintain SQL Server estates, including access management, job scheduling, backup/restore, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Monitor batch jobs, automation tasks, and alerts to ensure daily diagnostics and reporting processes run smoothly.
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, datasets, and paginated reports; implement refresh schedules, gateway configurations, and performance tuning.
• Develop Power Query and DAX solutions with clear documentation and reconciliation checks before and after process runs.
• Collaborate with Data Admin/Engineering teams to ensure data source structures meet reporting SLAs and maintain BI database integrity post backup/restore.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into maintainable semantic models and intuitive visuals; fold recurring ad-hoc requests into standard reporting.
• Provide hands-on support for critical monthly processes, including backups/restores, automation jobs, failure investigations, and escalations, particularly around the 10th–12th of each month. Weekend work may be required if these dates fall on weekends.
• Implement data quality checks, lineage documentation, and change control while ensuring secure handling of customer and company data.
• Execute changes following SDLC/Agile practices, raise tickets for technical issues, and drive root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with stakeholders via MS Teams and email during critical windows and exceptions.
  
  

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Proven experience as a Power BI / Reports Developer with strong SQL, Power Query, and DAX knowledge.
• Experience administering SQL Server (backup/restore, performance, security), SSIS, and exposure to SSRS.
• Practical experience with automation/orchestration applications and responding to alerts or storage issues.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing, MS Teams communication, and secure handling of enterprise data.
• Experience meeting strict cut-off deadlines for enterprise reporting and financial operations.
• Strong visual design skills for Power BI and experience delivering end-to-end reporting solutions.
• Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Willingness to work hybrid onsite/day shifts and provide support during critical reporting periods, including occasional after-hours windows.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Relevant certifications in SQL Server, Power BI, or Data Analytics.
• Experience optimizing performance of enterprise reporting platforms and gateways.
• Exposure to financial reporting processes and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
