Client Overview (AU)

We are a small but growing engineering business based in Australia (two-person founding team) specializing in pipe-related drawings and engineering documentation. Due to a high workload and an increasing volume of projects, we are looking to add a dedicated full-time AutoCAD Draftsperson to our team.

About The Role

The AutoCAD Draftsperson will be responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining a range of pipe-related and general engineering drawings using AutoCAD. The ideal candidate is proficient in CAD, has relevant drafting experience, and is comfortable working with minimal supervision while maintaining clear communication with the Australian-based team. While direct experience in the exact same type of work is preferred, we are open to candidate who have strong AutoCAD skills and good experience with technical drawings in related fields and

are willing to learn our specific standards and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce, modify, and update 2D engineering drawings (primarily pipe-related drawings, layouts, and associated documentation) using AutoCAD.
• Interpret engineers sketches, mark-ups, specifications, and existing drawings to create accurate and clear CAD outputs.
• Maintain organized drawing files, versions, and documentation in line with company standards.
• Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, industry standards, and internal drafting conventions.
• Coordinate regularly with the Australian team (via email, chat, and/or video calls) to:
• Clarify design requirements and technical details
• Review feedback and implement revisions
• Prioritize workload based on project timelines
• Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness before submission.
• Support general drafting and documentation tasks as needed for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required).
• Prior experience working as a Draftsperson / CAD Technician in an engineering, construction, mechanical, civil, or related environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
• Solid understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and drawing standards.
  
  

Experience:

• Experience with pipe-related drawings or similar technical drawings is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a remote or offshore setup is an advantage but not mandatory.
  
  

Soft Skills & Work Style:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining reliability and accountability.
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal) to coordinate with an Australian-based team.
• Willingness to learn the companys specific standards and workflows.

Work Schedule (Dayshift)

• Monday to Friday (7AM-4PM; Manila time)
  
  

Work Setup (WFH)

• Permanent Homebased
• Candidates are expected to have a conducive (quiet, distraction-free) dedicated workspace
• Equipment will be provided by the company
• Hired staff is required to have a stable and reliable internet connection with at least 20MBPS for both download AND upload speed.
