Your Role

The Technical Project Team Lead’s responsibilities focus on designing technical solutions for MES as well as partaking in the delivery and implementation of our MES solution, from the requirements stage through design, implementation and completion. This role works closely with other Technical Leads to ensure understanding of our MES software (OPS) so that the Design and Implementation delivers on customer requirements. The Technical Project Team Lead will work to an ISO 9001 approved systems engineering methodology in the implementation of solutions in Ireland and overseas. Full training and on-going support in Orbis application software will be provided

• Design and implement MES solutions using our OPS software that accurately reflect the complexity of real-world manufacturing processes.
• Lead the Technical team in delivering successful MES solutions, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and requirements.
• Provide technical advice and guidance across various projects, collaborating with team members to deliver optimal technical solutions.
• Diagnose and address operational data issues as part of the overall design and solution process.
• Work closely with customers to ensure successful design and implementation of MES systems.
• Engage with customers during project meetings, addressing actions and issues promptly to ensure project success.
• Follow the project workflow as outlined in the project plan to meet deadlines set by the Program Management Manager.
• Understand customer processes and requirements to ensure projects are implemented to specification, participating actively in design, implementation, testing, and validation phases.
• Actively lead and mentor the project team, including training junior team members on MES solutions.
• Participate in the configuration, testing, and computer system validation of MES systems and related configurations, leading the team in these tasks.
• Liaise with the wider Orbis team to promote continuous improvement across all projects and processes.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of MES solutions and practices.

What You Need



• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in developing software in manufacturing or strong process- oriented environments
• Leadership experience
• Intermediate knowledge and practical experience with SQL databases and T-SQL codes.
• Ability to read, write, and modify Stored Procedure (Views, Functions, Triggers, etc.).
• Experience building back-end code in C# (.NET), Integration Services, API Builds, experience with Report building ( MS SSRS, Telerik)
• We need the candidate to have knowledge of a programming language, with a preference for C#. Other language is acceptable.
• Industry knowledge in either food and beverage or pharmaceutical would be considered a plus.
• Infrastructure / Network knowledge, and experience with version control (GIT) preferred.
