Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Management

• Lead and oversee Credit Operations teams including Field Credit Investigators, and Verificators.
• Set clear operational targets and performance metrics for turnaround time (TAT), quality, and productivity.
• Coach, develop, and mentor team supervisors and officers to maintain operational excellence.

2. Credit Process Oversight

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of loan applications from onboarding to disbursement.
• Oversee field credit investigations, client verifications, and background checks to confirm client authenticity and creditworthiness.
• Maintain robust quality control standards for credit documentation and data validation.

3. Risk and Compliance

• Collaborate with Risk and Compliance departments to align credit operations with regulatory and internal audit requirements.
• Implement and enforce anti-fraud measures, ensuring system triggers are effectively handled.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards in all operational processes.

4. Systems & Process Improvement

• Partner with Product and Tech teams to improve automation tools.
• Identify and resolve process bottlenecks, enhancing efficiency and user experience.
• Drive continuous process innovation through analytics, KPI monitoring, and automation.

5. Reporting & Analysis

• Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reports for management review.
• Monitor daily volume, approval ratios, and SLA compliance.
• Provide recommendations based on performance metrics and trend analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in credit operations, credit risk, or lending process management.
• Strong leadership background managing cross-functional credit or operations teams.
• Deep understanding of lending systems, credit scoring models, and KYC/AML procedures.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in fintech or consumer lending industry is a strong advantage.
