The Role

Impact & Team: You will join a highly dynamic, results-oriented agency team focused on delivering high-performance e-commerce solutions for a diverse portfolio of growing brands. Your core mission will be website development, feature integration, and strategic problem-solving. This is a crucial role for a developer with exceptional coding skills, a keen eye for detail, and a naturally curious mindset who thrives on technical challenge.

The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a true fullstack developer—a unicorn who is proficient in both front-end and back-end coding languages (including Liquid), modern development frameworks, and seamless integration of third-party applications and libraries.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Technical Leads of the agency to design and architect effective e-commerce solutions.
• Translate complex technical requirements and solutions into clear, simple terms for non-technical clients (merchants) to understand.
• Develop new features and add functionality to the existing website
• Implement frontend or backend technical solutions based on the requirements of the project
• Troubleshoot, debug, and update core/theme/apps/plugins
• Implement frontend features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery.
• Integrations with third-party plugins and APIs
• Development new websites
• Conduct technical requirements gathering, technical analysis and development of tech specs
• Conduct research and assist on scoping and estimating new work
  
  

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development (Shopify Plus), using PHP, Liquid, MySQL, JavaScript.
• Deep working knowledge and proven experience with Shopify Plus and its exclusive features.
• Active experience utilizing AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) to enhance coding efficiency.
• Expertise with front-end development, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery.
• Shopify / Wordpress Speed Optimization
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to recommend improvements to the website
• Knowledge of SEO best practices.
• Excellent planning and time management skills.
• Strong proactive communication style, able to interact with stakeholders at all levels, and with a proven ability to liaise with clients and enjoy problem-solving.
