Role Overview

We are looking for an Intermediate Video Editor with strong DaVinci Resolve skills to support a high volume art education and media workflow.

You Will

• Edit a wide range of video content (YouTube, social, online courses, promotional content)
• Work closely with the Online Operations Manager and existing video team
• Help maintain a consistent, high quality visual brand across all channels
• Contribute to scaling an already successful online art education platform
  
  

This is a full-time remote role, ideally aligned with New Zealand time zone (with some flexibility for early-start or overlapping hours, depending on agreement).

Key Responsibilities

• Video Editing & Post Production
• Edit long form and short form video content in DaVinci Resolve
• Cut, assemble, and refine footage for:
• Online courses and art tutorials
• YouTube content
• Social media clips (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
• Promotional and client-facing videos
• Apply color correction, audio clean up, transitions, titles, and basic motion graphics as needed
• Add subtitles/captions where required
• Brand & Storytelling
• Maintain and strengthen the Tischler visual and storytelling style
• Create engaging, story driven edits that showcase art processes and education
• Collaborate with the team to refine formats, intros/outros, and templates
• Collaboration & Feedback
• Work closely with the Online Operations Manager and other editors
• Take creative direction and feedback constructively; iterate quickly on revisions
• Participate in regular check ins, reviews, and planning sessions (aligned to NZ time zone as much as possible)
• Workflow & File Management
• Organize project files, assets, and exports in shared/cloud-based systems
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet agreed deadlines
• Follow established workflows and contribute ideas for process improvements as the team scales
  
  

Requirements

• Technical
• Solid hands on experience with DaVinci Resolve (primary editing tool)
• Strong understanding of:
• Video editing principles (pacing, narrative flow, rhythm)
• Basic color grading and audio post
• Export settings for different platforms (YouTube, social, web)
• Experience Level- Intermediate level:
• Comfortable executing edits independently
• Still open to and responsive to guidance and direction
• Proven portfolio or showreel demonstrating:
• Previous editing work (ideally in education, creative, or content-led brands)
• Examples of social and/or long form video
• Soft Skills
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Reliable, detail oriented, and organized
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with an international team
• Able to handle high content volume and manage priorities in a growing business
• Availability & Time Zone
• Willingness to work with New Zealand business hours overlap
• Ability to accommodate earlier or later shifts if required for meetings, feedback sessions, or team collaboration (night shift premiums can be discussed if relevant)

• Simple motion graphics, lower thirds, and title animations
• Familiarity with:
• Social media best practices for video

Work Schedule: 6am to 3pm PH

Work Location: WFH
