About The Role

This is a newly created role and a key first hire for the agency. We are looking for an experienced, self-sufficient specialist who can work independently across a broad range of digital disciplines, manage competing priorities and deliver consistently high-quality output with minimal supervision.

This role goes beyond execution. We need someone who can drive lead conversion through the website, own paid and organic performance, leverage AI tools intelligently across the workflow, and produce reporting that gives clients genuine clarity on their results. You will be the engine of the agencys digital delivery, with the opportunity to grow into a team lead position as the business scales.

The right person takes ownership of their work, communicates proactively and understands what it means to produce results, not just activity.

Key Responsibilities

Search Engine Optimisation

  • Technical SEO audits, on-page optimisation, keyword research and schema markup
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues that affect search performance
  • Improving website performance to support lead conversion

Google Business Profile Management

  • Setting up, optimising and maintaining Google Business Profiles for clients
  • Managing reviews, posts, Q&A and profile accuracy across locations
  • Monitoring local search performance and identifying opportunities to improve local visibility

Paid Digital Advertising

  • Managing and optimising Google Ads campaigns across search and display
  • Running and refining Meta Ads campaigns (Facebook and Instagram)
  • Monitoring budgets, bid strategies and audience targeting to drive qualified leads

Website Performance and Lead Conversion

  • Identifying opportunities to improve website conversion rates
  • Working within WordPress (Elementor) to implement on-page improvements
  • Running basic A/B tests on landing pages, calls to action and page layouts
  • Using tools such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity to understand user behaviour and inform improvements

AI Leveraging and Citation Tracking

  • Actively using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity) to improve the speed and quality of content, research and reporting workflows
  • Monitoring and reporting on AI-generated citation appearances, including brand mentions and client content surfaced in AI search responses (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and similar platforms)
  • Keeping across developments in AI search and generative engine optimisation (GEO), and bringing recommendations to the team
  • Identifying where AI tools can reduce manual workload without compromising quality

Reporting and Analytics

  • Building and maintaining monthly performance reports across SEO, paid channels, GBP and social media
  • Using tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and SEMrush
  • Translating data into clear, client-ready insights with practical recommendations
  • Including AI citation and visibility tracking as a standard component of reporting where relevant

Email Marketing

  • Building and managing email marketing campaigns, including setup, copywriting, audience segmentation and scheduling
  • Monitoring open rates, click-through rates and conversion performance, and refining campaigns accordingly
  • Working within platforms such as Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or similar

Social Media Management

  • Content scheduling, community engagement and caption writing across LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook
  • Developing platform strategy aligned with each clients audience and objectives
  • Basic video editing or short-form content production for Reels and Stories

Content and Copywriting

  • Blog articles, website copy, email campaigns, case studies and supporting documentation
  • Well-researched, engaging copy tailored to specific industries and target audiences

Competitor Analysis and Market Research

  • Conducting regular competitor audits across search, paid and social channels
  • Identifying market gaps and opportunities to inform client strategy

Client Communication Support

  • Preparing briefs, status updates and presentation-ready decks for client reporting
  • Supporting the agency principal with clear written communication to clients as needed

Graphic Design (Supporting)

  • On-brand assets for social media, digital advertising and general marketing collateral
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign or the broader Adobe Creative Suite is preferred but not essential

Skills And Experience Required

  • Minimum five years of hands-on experience in a digital marketing role
  • Demonstrated technical SEO skills with working knowledge of SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar platforms
  • Proven experience managing and optimising Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns
  • Experience setting up and managing Google Business Profiles
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or ActiveCampaign
  • Comfortable using AI tools in a professional setting to improve output and efficiency
  • Strong written English with the ability to adapt tone and style for different industries and audiences
  • Competent in WordPress Elementor back-end management
  • Ability to build clear, client-ready reports from raw data, including emerging AI visibility metrics
  • Experience managing social media accounts across multiple platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment with minimal day-to-day supervision

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience working with or for an Australian client base
  • Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools
  • Experience with CRM or marketing automation tools such as HubSpot or ActiveCampaign
  • Familiarity with heat mapping or UX tools such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity
  • Understanding of GA4 beyond basic reporting, including custom events and funnel analysis
  • Awareness of generative engine optimisation (GEO) and AI search trends
  • Basic video editing skills for short-form social content
  • Experience with project coordination across a small agency team
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign or Creative Suite

Work Schedule: 6am to 3pm PH
