The Medical Equipment Graduate- Planner 1 will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and consultants to provide engineering solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include assisting in medical equipment analysis, design, and implementation. This position will be expected to work within the project’s monetary budget as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
Principal Responsibilities
Interface with users to assess equipment needs and location of equipment on drawings. Interface includes phone communication, e-mail, virtual or in-person meetings
Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively; Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication
Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects. Assist in project planning and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives
Ability to create standard deliverables including Cost Estimate, MEQ Book, Project Memos, Narratives, and Letters with accurate formatting, proper grammar, and spelling
Conduct an equipment assessment or inventory of existing medical equipment assess for potential reuse as part of a two or more-person team
Able make updates in MEQ database from meeting notes provided by others with set deadline
Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress
Analyze low to medium complexity medical equipment tasks and propose innovative solutions
Collaborate with senior medical equipment planners and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions
Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in medical equipment. Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals
Required Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to Medical Equipment
Knowledge of industry standard medical equipment software and tools including 4Tower, Attainia, and Bluebeam
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to travel up to 10% with overnight stays
Education and Experience
Bachelor Degree in Clinical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or equivalent required
Prior internship experience in the building design consulting or medical equipment consulting industry
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull
Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises

Salary Range $84,000- $85,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
