What you'll do:

As a Software Engineer, you will work within a close-knit, cross-functional team to build and maintain high-performance services for proprietary enterprise marketing supply chain platform. This is a hands-on role contributing across design, development, testing and deployment of backend and AI-enabled features.

You will be a problem solver — self-motivated and proactive — building secure, scalable services on a modern Java, cloud and AI stack. Your contributions will directly shape the platform's capability and its commercial success.

Key responsibilities for this role includes:

• Contribute to architecture discussions and the overall technology strategy for the IVE One backend.
• Design, develop, test and maintain robust, scalable and secure Java / Spring Boot services in collaboration with a small team.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code with a focus on best practice and code quality.
• Build and optimise PostgreSQL data models, including pgvector similarity search for IVENN and Brief Bank.
• Integrate AI capabilities via Amazon Bedrock and the platform AI gateway, using retrieval-grounded, human-in-the-loop patterns.
• Containerise and deploy services with Docker and Kubernetes across AWS, supporting CI/CD and observability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across performance, security and application functionality.
• Maintain and improve existing systems with an emphasis on performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Ensure solutions are accurate, secure and scalable, adhering to industry best practice and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Stay current with emerging backend, cloud and AI technologies; mentor less-experienced developers.
  
  
  

• 4+ years' hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Solid grounding in OOP, design patterns and software architecture principles.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and complex query optimisation.
• Experience with pgvector or comparable vector search for similarity / retrieval workloads.
• Hands-on AWS experience in production.
• Containerisation and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Agile delivery experience; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
