Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To fill a vacancy in the School of Professional Studies for the subject group, Education Management & Leadership on the Mahikeng Campus.
Key Responsibilities
Research
Scholarly guidance, innovation and initiation with regard to research in Education Management & Leadership.
Teaching
Teaching modules in Education Management & Leadership.
Teaching at all levels in higher education.
Supervising masters and PhD students General office administration.
Community Engagement
Initiating and participation community engagement projects.
Development
Initiating research projects.
Involvement in community engagement programmes.
Minimum Requirements
A PhD in Education Management, Leadership or Policy studies (NQF Level 10).
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the field of higher education.
Author/co-author of at least 3 research articles in accredited journals since 2022.
Have proven teaching experience in Education Management & Leadership.
Supervised Masters and Doctoral students to completion with a minimum of 2 Masters’ and involvement 1 PhD students.
Involvement in community engagement.
Added Advantage & Preference
Member of funded research projects.
Key Functional/ Technical Competencies
Have a proven publication record.
Have a proven record of presenting/attending relevant national and international conferences.
Have proven record of successful supervision.
Research skills, interpersonal skills/communication and computer literacy.
Key Behavioural Competencies
Team worker.
