Position Summary:
The Sales BDC Representativeat Pinnacle Intelligence is a vital role responsible for driving sales opportunities and enhancing customer engagement for our automotive dealership clients. This role primarily focuses on handling inbound and outbound communications via phone, email, and online chat to qualify leads, provide initial product information, nurture prospect relationships, and crucially, set appointments for the dealerships sales teams. The Sales BDC Representative ensures a seamless and positive initial customer experience, contributing directly to the sales funnel and client success in the competitive automotive retail market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Generation & Nurturing:
Handle a high volume of inbound inquiries (phone calls, emails, web leads, chat messages) from potential automotive customers.
Initiate proactive outbound calls and communications to follow up on leads, re-engage dormant prospects, and generate new interest.
Qualify leads thoroughly to determine customer needs, budget, and readiness to purchase, ensuring high-quality appointments for dealership sales teams.
Provide accurate and compelling information about vehicles, services, and dealership promotions to generate customer interest.
2. Appointment Setting & Confirmation:
Skillfully set appointments for customers to visit the dealership or connect with a sales consultant, overcoming objections and confirming details.
Send timely appointment confirmations and reminders to customers via their preferred communication channel.
3. Customer Communication & Relationship Building:
Maintain exceptional customer service standards throughout all interactions, ensuring a positive and professional brand image for our clients.
Build rapport with prospective customers, addressing their inquiries, and guiding them through the initial stages of the sales process.
Document all customer interactions, communications, and lead statuses accurately and comprehensively in the CRM system.
4. Sales Support & Collaboration:
Work closely with dealership sales teams, providing them with detailed lead information and appointment specifics.
Collaborate with internal BDC and Operations teams to optimize lead handling processes and share best practices.
Provide feedback on lead quality, common customer inquiries, and market trends to enhance overall sales strategy.
5. Product Knowledge & Continuous Learning:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various vehicle makes, models, features, and dealership services offered by our clients.
Continuously improve sales and communication techniques through ongoing training and coaching.
6. Performance & Reporting:
Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets for call volume, contact rates, appointment setting, and customer satisfaction.
Utilize CRM and other internal systems to track individual performance and contribute to team reporting.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
Experience:Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Business Development Center (BDC), call center sales, telemarketing, or customer service role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
Exceptional Communication:Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a clear, confident, and persuasive phone presence.
Customer Service Orientation:Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service and building rapport.
Sales Acumen:Ability to identify customer needs, generate interest, handle objections, and guide conversations towards appointment setting.
Technical Proficiency:Proficient in using CRM or Dealer Management systems (e.g., Tekion, Salesforce, HubSpot, DealerSocket), phone systems, and internet-based communication tools.
Organizational Skills:Strong ability to manage multiple leads, prioritize follow-ups, and maintain accurate records.
Results-Oriented:A driven individual with a proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
Adaptability:Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic sales support environment.
Preferred:
Experience in the automotive industry (dealership experience, automotive BDC).
Familiarity with various automotive brands and vehicle types.
