What youll do:

As a Network and CyberSecurity Operations Engineer, your role is responsible for the day-to-day implementation, monitoring, and support of network and security operations, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing systems for our clients.

Your role is to apply your strong networking and Azure expertise to deliver solutions that are proactive, resilient, and aligned with customer needs, while acting as a trusted technical resource during customer engagements and discussions. You will focus on improving security posture, operational efficiency, and service reliability through hands-on expertise and informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Support, administer, and optimise network environments including firewalls, switches, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and wireless infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, and Azure identity/security configurations.
• Monitor, investigate, and remediate security alerts from EDR, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Deploy and manage key security platforms such as TrendMicro EDR, Huntress, NodeZero, and KnowBe4.
• Implement and maintain network and endpoint security controls across cloud, servers, and on-prem environments.
• Attend customer meetings as a technical SME, presenting recommendations and providing expert guidance.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, network redesigns, cloud migrations, and cybersecurity improvement projects.
  
  
  

• 4+ years experience in network engineering, cloud networking, cybersecurity operations, or similar roles.
• Azure certifications or equivalent Azure experience (mandatory).
• Strong hands-on experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, or similar), routing, switching, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Experience with Azure AD/Entra, Azure networking, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Practical security operations experience including EDR tools, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Excellent communication skills with confidence in customer-facing technical discussions.
  
  
  

• MSP experience.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as Essential Eight, ISO27001, or NIST CSF.
• Familiarity with SIEM/SOC operations or analysis of penetration testing outputs.
• Experience with PowerShell or network automation tools.
• Additional certifications such as Security+, CySA+, Network+, AZ-500, or vendor-specific network certifications.
