SukiGrocer is a fast-growing Filipino e-grocery brand committed to delivering fresh, affordable, and quality grocery items to homes across Metro Manila and Greater Manila Area (GMA). With customer convenience, sustainability, and farmers at the heart of what we do, we’re looking for a detail-oriented, compliance-driven, and experienced HR & Payroll Officer to join our team.

In this role, you will take the lead in managing and optimizing payroll operations, government contributions, and employee compensation, while also supporting general HR functions. Your work will ensure our people are paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance with Philippine labor laws.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management (Primary Focus)

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all government-mandated regulations (e.g. BIR, SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth).
  • Maintain and audit payroll records including timekeeping, leaves, deductions, adjustments, and final pay computation.
  • Prepare monthly payroll reports, payslips, and payroll-related journal entries for accounting.
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax laws, government mandates, and wage regulations.
  • Coordinate with Finance for disbursements, statutory remittances, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely manner.


HR Operations & Compliance

  • Implement and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with Philippine labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HRIS data.
  • Lead internal HR audits and ensure compliance with DOLE and statutory requirements.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Manage government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and facilitate employee loans and reimbursements.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to compensation structures and employee benefits packages.


Employee Relations & Performance

  • Support managers in performance management and employee development planning.
  • Assist in resolving employee concerns, disciplinary actions, and workplace issues professionally and fairly.
  • Promote engagement and well-being through HR-led initiatives and feedback systems.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Psychology, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HR with a strong focus on payroll and statutory compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine payroll systems, taxation, and government reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency with payroll tools and HRIS (e.g. Sprout, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and numerical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work onsite in Tunasan, Muntinlupa on a daily basis.
