Under the supervision of the AVP for Production Operations, this key position is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the company's extract, transform, and load (ETL) activities, as well as leading the design, development, deployment, and support of web-based application initiatives to ensure accurate, timely, and secure data integration and digital solutions across systems. The position supports operational reporting, analytics, and business decision-making by managing ETL processes and web-based application development activities, maintaining data quality and delivering reliable and scalable data solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of ETL processes and data integration workflows, as well as web-based applications and data-driven platforms.
Manage daily ETL operations, including job scheduling, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Manage application deployment, release management, and production support activities.
Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across all data movement, and transformation activities.
Ensure compliance with information security, data privacy, and application security standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Oversee source-to-target mappings, data validation, reconciliation, and documentation standards.
Oversee the development and integration of front-end and back-end web solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
Establish and enforce development standards, coding best practices, version control processes, and secure software development methodologies, and governance processes.
Lead, coach, and develop developers and support team members to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with database administrators, data engineers, analysts, and application teams to support enterprise data initiatives.
Drive issue resolution for failed jobs, data discrepancies, and system performance concerns.
Support project planning, resource allocation, timelines, and delivery of ETL-related initiatives.
Effectively coordinates and communicates the needs of the group with the different Support teams in ADEC.
Attend regular production management meetings and report operational issues and concerns.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or any related course
5+ years of experience in ETL/web application development, data integration, or data warehousing
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory position
Strong experience with ETL tools such as Python, PostgreSQL, NGINX, Flask and/or similar platforms and frameworks
Knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication mechanisms, and web application security principles
Advanced knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and data warehouse concepts
Experience in data quality management, data governance, and production support
Familiarity with cloud data platforms, API integrations, and automation frameworks is an advantage
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
