Position Summary:
The Operations Lead Accounting plays a critical role in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial processes. This role leads a team of accounting professionals, supports month-end and year-end close activities, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in financial operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and experienced in managing accounting functions within a fast-paced BPO environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the accounting operations team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
Has strong experience with general accounting, contract management, auditing, claims, tax calculations, and reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
Collaborate with Finance Manager and other departments to streamline accounting workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to ensure team productivity and service quality.
Assist in audits, both internal and external, by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
Implement and maintain accounting systems and tools, ensuring data integrity and usability.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Experience in a BPO or shared services environment is highly desirable.
Supported clients in the automotive industry on a BPO setup is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Amenability: Willing to work full onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa. Available for a night shift work schedule from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM (or adjusted based on operational requirement).
