As an Operational Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing, strengthening, and growing relationships with strategically important global customers by delivering an outstanding operational customer experience across Air and Sea Logistics services. You will oversee the day to day operational performance of key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and long term growth through proactive coordination, problem solving, and continuous improvement.

How you create impact

• Serve as the primary global operational point of contact for assigned key accounts, building strong, long term customer relationships through regular communication, strategic engagement, and a deep understanding of customer operational requirements.
• Take full operational accountability for the account, ensuring aligned performance across all regions and business units
• Represent the customer internally within Kuehne + Nagel, translating and formalizing operational needs, clarifying requirements, and coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant execution.
• Lead escalation and resolution management, acting as the central escalation point within the respective Business Units, including the handling of structural operational issues and claims-related escalations.
• Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and growth by designing customer specific operational solutions, identifying cost improvement opportunities, supporting new business implementation, and proactively facilitating corrective actions when required.
  
  

What we would like you to bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in international logistics, preferably within Air and/or Sea Logistics, in multinational and multi–business unit environments.
• Proven experience in Operational Key Account Management, customer relationship management, and project management.
• Advanced level of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional and virtual teams across regions.
