About The Role

The Human Resources Generalist is a hands-on, on-site role supporting operations within our production facility. As the primary People Operations partner on the ground, this role works closely with frontline employees and leadership to address day-to-day HR needs, resolve employee challenges, and ensure the effective execution of people programs.

Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, this position combines strong operational execution with developing business partnership responsibilities. The HR Generalist is a key member of the HR team, providing comprehensive support across a wide range of human resources functions.

This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures, while supporting the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment through to offboarding. The HR Generalist ensures compliance with all applicable federal and provincial employment legislation and contributes to fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary HR presence on the production floor, building relationships with frontline teams and providing day-to-day guidance to leaders on employee matters, policies, and best practices
• Act as first point of contact for employee inquiries; conduct thorough and objective workplace investigations; support conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes
• Promote a respectful, inclusive workplace; conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to recommend improvements and mitigate organizational risk
• Manage full-cycle recruitment including postings, screening, interviews, and reference checks; prepare compliant offer letters and facilitate a smooth onboarding experience
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data; process lifecycle changes (hires, terminations, transfers, promotions); support payroll coordination in collaboration with Finance
• Assist in developing and communicating HR policies; support benefits administration and compensation processes including benchmarking
• Support performance review cycles, workforce planning, and key metrics reporting (turnover, headcount, trends); identify training needs and coordinate development initiatives
• Support OHS programs and JHSC participation; assist with incident investigations and ensure compliance with applicable legislation
• Partner with the broader People Operations team to roll out engagement surveys, training programs, and process improvements that enhance the employee experience
  
  

• 2–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources or People Operations, ideally in fast-paced, high-growth, or operational environments
• Experience supporting hourly and frontline workforces; manufacturing or logistics experience is an asset
• Strong employee relations background, including experience conducting workplace investigations
• Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruitment and HR administration
• Familiarity with payroll coordination and HRIS systems
• Solid understanding of Canadian federal and provincial employment legislation (e.g., Employment Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health & Safety, PIPEDA)
• Strong stakeholder management skills with high emotional intelligence and sound judgment
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present HR data
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• CHRP, CHRL, or CPHR designation (or actively working toward certification) is considered a strong asset

• Salary range: 70,000-80,000
