Video QC Technician US Media Production Onsite

Salary: P50,000-P60,000 PHP

Schedule: 4:00 AM - 1:00 PM PHT

Work Type: Freelance - Fulltime (3months contract with possibility of regularization)

Position Overview

The QC Technician is responsible for ensuring the technical and visual integrity of film and television content

across physical media, digital platforms, and restoration projects. Candidates may have experience in one or

more of the following areas: Disc QC, Digital Platform QC (iTunes, Netflix, Amazon, etc.), and/or Film

Restoration QC.

What are we looking for?

Skills Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
• DVD/Blu-ray QC testing
• Digital/Master QC for streaming platforms
• Film Restoration QC
• Strong understanding of platform specifications and delivery requirements preferred
• Experience identifying restoration artifacts (dirt, flicker, warping, compression artifacts, etc.) is a strong plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and process improvement
• Ability to work full-time on-site at our Manila facility
  
  

What will you do?

• Perform linear QC testing of video, audio, and subtitle tracks
• Test disc menus, navigation, player compatibility, and functionality
• Conduct emulation QC of authored DVD and Blu-ray disc images, as well as replica samples
• Perform Digital Platform QC according to studio and platform specifications (iTunes, Netflix, Amazon, etc.)
• Execute S&P and Master QC reviews
• Conduct Film Restoration QC (dirt, flicker, artifacts, color inconsistencies, image instability, etc.)
• Identify and document errors, defects, and anomalies with detailed reporting
• Communicate findings clearly with QC Managers and production teams
• Collaborate with restoration, authoring, and digital teams to ensure delivery compliance
• Perform additional duties as assigned
