Position Overview

The US Junior HR Administrator will support the day-to-day functions of the HR department, assist with ongoing HR initiatives, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities, support both attorneys and staff, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and files in accordance with legal and firm requirements.
  • Administer employee leave management through the ADP system.
  • Support administrative tasks in coordination with the administrative team.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, and firm-wide events.
  • Conduct employee surveys and compile feedback for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including New York labor regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general procedures.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation for management review.
  • Conduct monthly employee check-ins and support ongoing engagement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of HR experience, preferably in a US professional services or US law firm environment.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; familiarity with ADP preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
