The Impact You Will Have In This Role

Operation Risk Management, ORM establishes protocols for analyzing, reporting, escalating, and mitigating operational risks. Ops Risk works with the business unit management and support functions to help them manage their operational risk exposures. Third Party Risk (TPR) establishes the Third Party Risk Management framework for the organization. TPR identifies, assesses and mitigates the risks that Third Parties pose to the organization through risk assessments, due diligence reviews, and implementation of ongoing monitoring requirements for Critical and High-rated Third Parties.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and track key metrics used for management reporting of Third Party risk processes.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Third Party Risk technology tools and be responsible for collaborating with fellow technology teams to deliver solutions.
  • Leverages technical subject matter expertise to review and enhance the Third Party Risk control environment, and identify and implement process improvements.
  • Automate manual processes.
  • Partner with other control functions and departments on Third Party Risk activities.
  • Lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute on process enhancements.
  • Prepare and present project status to impacted stakeholders including senior governance forums.
  • Utilize risk management and regulatory knowledge to develop key metrics for internal processes and senior management reporting.
  • Develop and recommend strategies and tactical approaches that streamline activities and increase productivity to eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, active engagement in meetings and thought leadership.
  • Foster an environment of regulatory awareness and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support and monitor ongoing staff education and development in effective Third Party Risk Management
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage a team of direct reports.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of the financial services regulatory landscape
  • Experience with Data Analytics and Visualization tools
  • Experience with Third Party Risk and/or Vendor Management
  • Experience with managing staff
