About The Role

Test Operator tests Dyson products, components and systems for function and reliability on a variety of test platforms. Determines if the designated product passes all test cycles. Collects diagnostic information needed to isolate any product failure. Inspects product for any physical damage or contamination.

• Tests Dyson products, components and systems for function and reliability on a variety of test platforms
• Setup test rigs and equipment in accordance test SOP
• Daily monitoring of testing and recording of test data.
• Determines if the designated product passes all test cycles. Collects diagnostic information needed to isolate any product failure.
• Places the appropriate test marks on failure location.
• Inspects product for the correct placement and orientation of untested components.
• Communicate and advise on test findings to test technician.
• Perform 5s activities, machine receiving and scrap.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance at specified intervals on testers, chambers, fixtures, etc.
• May train new test operators.
• To always ensure compliance within the lab to legal and Dyson’s policy on occupational health & safety requirements and continuously improve occupational health and safety performance. Practice good housekeeping of test labs.
• To carry out other tasks such as wiring, documentation and troubleshooting problems when required as instructed.
  
  

About You

• Completion of a high school diploma, GED, leaving certificate or equivalent is preferred.
• Successful completion of company provided training may be required.
• Must have at least 2 years of work experience in the electronics or semiconductor industry.
• Has basic computer skills.
• Must be resourceful, and assertive.
• Have good communication.
• Knowledgeable in product troubleshooting, de/soldering and repair is an advantage.
• Experience in hardware/software validation and verification for medium and high-end testers is an advantage.
• Goal and results-oriented, assertive, and hardworking
• Able to work independently as well as in a group effectively.
