The Technical Director (Video Production) will lead CHiNOY TV’s technical and post-production operations, ensuring high-quality output across all content platforms.
This role combines hands-on video editing and shooting with technical oversight, including equipment management, workflow optimization, and team supervision.
The ideal candidate is both a strong editor and a technical problem-solver, capable of elevating production standards while ensuring efficient and scalable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations & Systems Management
Oversee and manage all technical operations, including equipment, editing machines, storage systems, and software
Ensure all tools and systems are optimized, maintained, and up to date
Troubleshoot technical issues related to editing, storage, and production workflows
Recommend upgrades in equipment, software, and technical processes
Post-Production Leadership
Serve as Lead / Master Editor for CHiNOY TV projects
Ensure all outputs meet broadcast and digital quality standards
Review final outputs and check for technical issues (drop frames, audio levels, visual errors, etc.)
Oversee the entire editing pipeline from ingestion to final output
Video Editing & Content Execution
Edit stories, feature segments, documentaries, and event content
Perform audio leveling, color correction, and basic motion graphics
Ensure narrative flow, pacing, and overall storytelling quality
Deliver outputs in a timely and efficient manner
Shooting & Production Support
Shoot video content for CHiNOY TV and its projects
Set up and operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment
Assist in pre-production preparation (gear, setups, technical planning)
Team Leadership & Workflow Management
Lead and mentor editors, videographers, and GFX artists
Ensure proper task distribution and team efficiency
Work closely with the Executive Producer on production schedules and priorities
Develop scalable workflows to support high-volume content production
File Management & Archiving Systems
Establish and maintain a structured system for file ingestion, storage, and archiving
Ensure proper organization and accessibility of all media assets
Implement backup protocols to prevent data loss
Creative & Quality Control
Ensure consistency in the overall look and feel of CHiNOY TV content
Collaborate with the Executive Producer on creative direction
Continuously improve production quality to meet international standards
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years experience in:
Video editing
Videography / production
Strong proficiency in:
Adobe Premiere / Final Cut / DaVinci Resolve
After Effects (basic to intermediate)
Strong understanding of:
Cameras, lighting, audio systems
Editing workflows and file management
Experience leading or mentoring a team
Strong problem-solving skills in technical environments
