Software Engineer AU Fintech Hybrid

What will you do?

• Working closely with product owners and the development team to work on and take ownership of specific areas of the products and features.
• Assisting in developing business configuration management solutions.
• Participating in the development of new APIs and improvement of our existing APIs including the documentation.
• Upgrading the Laravel framework to the latest version.
• Improving and maintaining existing codebases.
• Refactoring and troubleshooting coinge issues.
• Mentor the less experienced team members.
• Assisting the end-to-end testing process.
• Write clean and maintainable code.
• Contribute to the architectural design process for new solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with existing and emerging technologies.
  
  

What are we looking for?

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate clearly to the team around progress and
  
  

blockers and to provide knowledge sharing when needed.

• Strong knowledge of PHP programming Language
• Strong Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming Concepts
  
  

and understanding of fundamental design principles and best

practices behind scalable application.

• Strong understanding of code quality to both produce quality
  
  

code themselves, and explain and mentor juniors about the what

and why of code quality

• Experience building scalable APIs, applying security best practices, performance optimization, API versioning & backward compatibility strategies and Third-party API integrations.
• Experience with Test Driven Development will be highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of Laravel Framework is highly desirable.
• Experience using Databases such as MySQL and Redis.
• Experience using AWS services is desirable, especially with EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS and S3.
• Can do attitude and ability to work in a fast paced startup environment.
• Comfortable with pair programming.
• Strong analytic, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in a FinTech industry would be advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and engineering culture
• Having a passion for the Cryptocurrency industry is strongly encouraged.
