SOC Engineer AU MSP Flexi

Work Setup: Hybrid (2x a week office)

Schedule: Shifting Schedule (6 AM to 6 PM); First 1 to 2 months 6 AM to 3 PM (Monday to Friday)

Skills Required

Non-Negotiable Skills

• 3+ years I.T. experience
• Endpoint security knowledge (Microsoft Defender)
• SIEM Monitoring and Management experience (preferably LogRhythm)
• Strong ability to perform log analysis and alert investigation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Customer-focused mindset
• Great attention to detail
• Good understanding of project SDLC
• Agile environment experience favourable
  
  

Nice to have Skills (Desirable)

With Basic Understanding In

• ServiceNow or comparable ticketing system
• Broader Microsoft security stack (e.g., Entra ID, Purview, Security Copilot)
• Network security knowledge (IDS/IPS)
• Online/Cloud security knowledge (AWS, GCP, Kasada, WAF)
• Understanding of Identity and Access Management and Privileged Access Management
• Email Security Solutions
• Threat Intelligence platforms
  
  

What will you do?

• Monitor and manage SIEM/ServiceNow security events, triaging alerts and performing case management
• Provide technical support, case investigation, and incident resolution by performing various troubleshooting methods
• Resolve day-to-day security issues to provide service continuity or work with escalation teams if required
• Classify reported incident based on impact and urgency and ensure documentation of timely updates in incident ticket logs, adhering to SLA drivers
• Provide timely shift handover and reporting at end of shift
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to uplift team capability
• Action and complete Service Requests where applicable
