SEO Virtual Assistant — AI Tools Provided Part-Time Long-Term

About the Company Genie Academy is a childrens tutoring company with 7 locations in New Jersey, USA. We teach math, reading, writing, and coding to K-12 students.. Were growing and need someone reliable and detail-oriented for the long term.

What Youll Be Doing We have a complete, 100+ page SEO plan already written. Your job is to execute it. We provide Claude Code -- an AI assistant connected to our Google Search Console and analytics -- so you can work faster. You use it to draft content and pull reports, then you review, refine, and publish.

Page Building & Content (~30%)

• Build service area pages for every town within driving distance of our 7 centers
• Create comparison pages (Genie Academy vs. competitors)
• Rewrite location pages with locally-optimized content -- local schools, coach bios, center-specific reviews
• Build a reviews hub, pricing page, and FAQ page
• Research keywords and write 4-8 content briefs per month for our managers to execute
  
  

• Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles for all 7 locations -- weekly posts, photos, review responses
• Build citations across 15+ directories per location (Yelp, BBB, Apple Maps, Bing, etc.)
• Ensure consistent NAP across all listings
• Monitor local rankings per location
  
  

• Validate schema markup, sitemaps, canonical tags, and redirects post-migration
• Test pages in Google Rich Results Test
• Monitor crawl errors and indexation in Google Search Console
  
  

• Pull weekly GSC reports and track core KPIs
• Identify UX issues using Microsoft Clarity data
• Execute link building outreach -- HARO, local NJ press, PTA/school newsletters
  
  

• At least 2-5 years of SEO experience
• Excellent written English -- this is a firm requirement. Youll write customer-facing content: review responses for parents, GBP posts, content briefs, and meta descriptions. Clean, natural, on-brand writing with no errors. We will evaluate your writing in the application.
• Google Business Profile management experience
• Citation building experience -- you know what NAP consistency means
• Able to read JSON-LD schema and spot errors
• Available with some overlap in US Eastern Time hours
• Willing to learn and use Claude Code
