Senior Staff Engineer Package Technology Development

Responsible for design and development of package technologies for Automotive products, providing technical guidance and leadership to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Collaborate with OSAT partners and internal teams to drive technical decision-making, solve complex problems, and manage projects to meet timelines, budgets, and scope.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Package Design and Development: Design and develop VQFN, DSO, TSSOP and TO package technologies, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and manufacturability for Automotive products.
• Technical Advisor: Provides technical guidance, actively shares knowledge, and promotes best practices to support OSAT partners and colleagues on package technology development.
• Technical Leadership: Drive technical decision-making and set direction within OSAT partners for the development and pre-development of new product or wafer technology qualified within package platform.
• Problem-Solving and Analysis: Has proven ability to solve complex problems.
• Project Management: Collaborate closely with subcon partners to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or scope.
  
  

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Min. Bachelor / Master Degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
• Min. 8 years of experience in package development, process development(assembly), and project management, with a focus on New Product Introduction (NPI) and change/transfer projects.
• Good technical knowledge of Back End processes & material knowledge in leadframe packages and interaction with the different functions (e.g. design rules, direct materials and processes qualification).
• Good understanding of Automotive quality / reliability requirements and standards.
