The purpose of this role is to support the underwriting team in managing property portfolios, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards, and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the business. This role involves assisting in the evaluation of new business opportunities and maintaining broker relationships.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage underwriting activities across multiple distribution channels.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in product development, innovation, and testing.
  • Participate in relevant meetings to share and develop strategy, knowledge, and best practices.
  • Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and policy changes, recommending changes to company policies and procedures where appropriate.
  • Establish and promote the company image with key clients.
  • Evaluate risk for new business and renewals to ensure profitable growth.
  • Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions, and good practice to minimise risks and maximise efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of channel strategic plans.
  • Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, internal audit, and other governance and compliance requirements.

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.



Travel Frequency:

Occasional (approximately 5-10 trips annually)

US Only - Physical Demands:

General office jobs: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is not substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate basic office equipment including telephone, headset and computer. Incumbent must be able to lift basic office equipment up to 20 lbs.
