Role Description
We are seeking an Experience Engineer — a hybrid role sitting at the intersection of UX design, front-end engineering, and platform architecture. The Experience Engineer designs and builds user experiences that are both elegant and technically viable, bridging the gap between design concepts and working software.
This role combines interaction design capability with hands-on UI development, enabling rapid prototyping and delivery of digital experiences within the Salesforce ecosystem and beyond. Experience Engineers play a key role in helping teams determine the optimal balance between platform capabilities, configuration, and custom development, ensuring solutions deliver strong business value while maintaining scalability and maintainability.

Experience Design
- Interaction design and UX architecture
- Wireframing and high-fidelity prototyping
- Design systems and UI pattern libraries
UI Engineering
- Strong experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, modern UI architectures
- Practical experience building accessible interfaces aligned to WCAG 2.1 AA would be a plus
- Component-based development
- Design-to-code translation
Platform Understanding
- Understanding of enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, CRM, ERP, workflow systems)
- Ability to evaluate configuration vs customization tradeoffs
- Technical literacy to collaborate effectively with architects and engineers
AI-Accelerated Development
- Ability to leverage AI coding tools to accelerate prototyping and development
- Experience integrating AI-assisted workflows into design and engineering processes
Collaboration & Consulting
- Strong communication and storytelling skills
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and rapidly evolving environments

Client Engagement Responsibilities
Experience Design & Prototyping
- Translate user research insights into interaction designs and UI concepts
- Create high-fidelity prototypes that demonstrate end-to-end experiences
- Define design patterns and interaction models aligned with enterprise design systems
- Collaborate with Experience Architects to shape target-state journeys and product experiences
UI Engineering & Rapid Development
- Build front-end components and functional prototypes using modern UI frameworks
- Develop Lightning Web Components or equivalent UI implementations where appropriate
- Translate Figma designs into working interfaces or reusable UI components
- Use AI coding assistants to accelerate front-end development and experimentation
Design-to-Delivery Integration
- Work with Solution and Technical Architects to ensure alignment between design and platform architecture
- Evaluate platform capabilities to determine when to leverage out-of-the-box features vs custom development
- Support build teams in implementing design systems and component libraries
- Ensure design integrity is maintained through the implementation lifecycle
Experience Optimization
- Identify opportunities to simplify user journeys through better system design
- Optimize experiences for usability, performance, and maintainability
- Contribute to reusable experience assets and accelerators across projects
Professional Experience
- 6+ years experience across UX design, front-end engineering, or digital product development
- Experience delivering enterprise digital solutions or CRM implementations
- Consulting mindset with the ability to work in complex transformation environments
- Experience working with Salesforce platform (especially Lightning and Experience Cloud)
- Experience building Lightning Web Components or similar UI frameworks
- Background in design consulting or digital transformation programs
- Experience across both B2B and B2C digital experiences
