Senior Accounting officer

Role Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and finance functions in a dynamic retail setting. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial records and efficient accounting processes across multiple store locations. The ideal candidate is well-organized, analytical, and able to work effectively within a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• At least 23 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  
  

• Review and validate daily sales reports from various store locations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Process supplier invoices and purchase orders, confirming proper approvals and complete documentation for timely payment
• Conduct bank reconciliations and review financial transactions for accuracy
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements
• Organize and maintain accounting files, including invoices, receipts, and other financial records
• Provide administrative and clerical support to the accounting team, including data entry, filing, and record maintenance
