Savory Application Technologist - Your future position?

As the Savory Application Technologist, you will support customer projects, as well as research process by preparing and selecting flavours and maintaining data relevant to flavour portfolio, according to EH&S policies and business needs. You will report to the Technical Manager and will be based in Pasig, Manila.

Sounds interesting? In this exciting role you also will be responsible in:

• Prepare and develop flavoured food products for customer projects, presentations, and research initiatives.
• Select optimal flavours based on customer requirements, regulatory standards, legislation, and cost considerations.
• Evaluate flavours in diverse food applications for project briefs, research studies, and portfolio assessments.
• Support tasting sessions and deliver product presentations to customers and visitors.
• Maintain accurate flavour data and recipe documentation for all food product developments.
• Update and manage flavour performance records through finished product evaluations and sensory profiling.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-organized laboratory environment in line with EH&S policies and procedures.

Your professional profile includes:

• Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• 2 or more years of relevant work experience in Applications managing food portfolio of instant noodles & sauces (savory).
• Exposure in servicing (or working in) QSR/Food chain service industries and prior experience managing Bakery portfolio would be a bonus.
• Understanding of basic food ingredients and their functional use in applications.
• Awareness of selected specific food application processes, and their production processes.
• Basic understanding of financial considerations in flavour selection, such as cost-in-use and margin impacts.
• Established tasting skills with the ability to accurately describe flavour profiles.
• Has a team-player mindset with strong agility and can-do attidude.
• Good communcation and presentation skills.
• Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and materials for food application testing, and strong understanding of research documentation protocols.
• Knowledge of safety, hygiene, and environmental guidelines and requirements.
