Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective (business area/division/product group) sales strategy within the specified market scope (global/regional) and maintain it, to improve ABB’s market penetration and realize growth aspirations. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the Sales organization (other sales managers and sales specialists within scope) to achieve the sales targets, through high performance.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

  • Securing the orders and sales target of the division in specified business lines
  • Lead the negotiation of commercial contracts and take deal closing decisions
  • Establish and maintain customer relationship in key accounts particularly with decision makers and C-suite profiles
  • Anticipating and identifying the shortfalls in performance and takes appropriate remedial actions, proactively.
  • Identifying and evaluating new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determines plans for implementation, and allocates required resources.
  • Planning and executing customer surveys and acts on the survey results to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage, mentor and coach a team of account managers; work with multiple functions and stakeholders


Qualifications For The Role

  • Highly skilled in Sales negotiations and Value-based selling, including contract terms and conditions
  • Have an established network in the Electrical industry and domain expertise in Medium Voltage Systems, Services and Solutions
  • You are passionate about leadership and can drive change management into business growth
  • Capability to lead the transformation of a team and organization
  • Stakeholder management: local leadership teams, regional and global management
  • Degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent engineering/technical studies
  • Commercial experience of >10 years and a proven track record of closing high value deals
  • Must have excellent communication skills and executive presence.
