Safety Officer

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will have a thorough understanding of local health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations, participate in the ongoing development, evaluation, and improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety Management Plan in compliance with the Hitachi Energy HSE – Operating System.
• You will comply with company Country HSE KPIs and implement applicable systems for monitoring occupational health and safety, as well as enhancing measures to mitigate potential workplace risks.
• You will be experienced in performing thorough investigations into Health and Safety issues both on-site and off-site activities.
• You will lead in the implementation of company healthy and safety policies, protocols, and best practices of Hitachi Operating System, document control and maintain quality data, files, reports and updating company HSE and OSH activities.
• You will monitor HSE employees’ training and ensure compliance with Safety guidelines and requirements, conduct routine safety observations tours to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company health, safety and environment policies, specific assessments to ensure compliance to applicable legal requirements.
• You will provide safety training to employees, guest and contractors, create a safe work environment and be able to work in a physically challenging environment.
• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• You will graduate in Engineering or other related courses.
• Minimum 5 years of experience of hand-on in Healthy, Safety and environment.
• Strong leadership skills and supervision registered OHS Practitioner and or Certified SO3, BOSH or COSH.
• Open to assignments at various site locations wherein Hitachi has activities. Good moral character.
• Good communication skills (written and oral).
