Safety Officer SO2

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer (SO2) to oversee and implement workplace health and safety programs for a construction-related project at Shaw Center Mall, Manila. The selected candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a culture of safety, and support project operations in maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor occupational health and safety policies and procedures on-site
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and hazard assessments
• Ensure compliance with DOLE regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Facilitate toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and training programs
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and prepare reports with corrective actions
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, and compliance records
• Liaise with government agencies and support local permit applications when required
• Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements
• Promote safety awareness among project personnel
  
  

• Valid Safety Officer 2 (SO2) License/Certification
• Experience in a construction-related environment preferred
• Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations
• Familiarity with DOLE requirements and local permit applications is an advantage
• Strong communication and reporting skills
  
  

• Certified First Aider Training
• Experience working on commercial construction or mall fit-out projects
  
  

• Must be resident within Manila
• Candidates living near Shaw Boulevard or adjacent areas will be highly preferred
