Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)

TILL, Inc.is seeking individuals to for the role of Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) within the in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program, providing families with support, and implementing interventions in the home that have been established by the BCBA/LABA.

This position is $24/hr

Overview

Asses an individuals developmental and behavioral needs related to his/her diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The RBT works as part of a team and receives guidance from the ABA analyst to implement behavior modification plans with the child. The RBT works intensively with the caregiver(s) and individual on establishing structure and rules, developing independent living skills, teaching self-regulation and self-soothing, and other behavioral interventions.

Essential Functions

  • Behavioral Interventions and Monitoring
  • Develop positive connection and rapport with the individual and family
  • Provide coaching/modeling for caregiver(s) based on evidence-based best practices and guidance from the BCBA/LABA
  • Utilize Safety Care de-escalation strategies.
  • Monitor progress of goals/objectives of behavior treatment plan devolved by the BCBA/LABA
  • Implement behavior modification strategies with children to increase positive behaviors and decrease/extinguish maladaptive behaviors
  • Directly implement skill acquisition plans developed by the BCBA/LABA
  • Identify reinforcers and strategies for the generalization of learned skills beyond ABA sessions
  • Consistent data collection and summary.

Other Duties

  • Attend supervision with BCBA
  • Attend monthly staff meetings
  • Complete required trainings
  • Local travel to client homes
  • Follow all program policies and procedures
  • Minimum of 8-12 hours per week.
  • Timely completion of written clinical progress notes
  • Data Collection

Essential Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • A high school diploma or GED is required, and 12 months experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, children adolescents, transition age youth or families

OR

  • Associate’s degree in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management and a minimum of six months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly Autism
  • Certification as an RBT and 3 months experience
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
  • Bilingual individuals strongly encouraged to apply (not required)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
