Job Description
The Sales Manager, ASEAN Region (= territory) leads and drives business to achieve the sales, growth, and profitability targets in the territory which includes Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand amongst others. This position is responsible for evaluating market potential, converting market opportunities into profitable revenue, and developing successful sales channel strategies. The sales responsibility includes portfolio of medical equipment (hardware, software) and related services.The work location will be remotely located in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand.
The first priority candidates: Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.
Second priority candidates : Malaysia and Singapore (only consider excellent candidates)The Sales Manager reports to the Head of Sales, Asia Pacific Region.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Represents company effectively and professionally to the market.
Manages indirect channel partners driving the business in the territory, achieving the targets (sales, business expansion and profitability), and growing company footprint in the territory.
Negotiates and manages agreements for the indirect channel partners.
Drives qualitative and quantitative performance of indirect channel partners including channel optimization and adequate coaching.
Supports the indirect channel partners to ensure successful product positioning and competitive offering.
Establishes robust business plans and accurate sales forecasts.
Develops account specific sales strategies and applies sales tactics to meet the companys regional objectives.
Performs territorial analysis to identify customer needs in terms of products, competitor activities, markets trends and emerging opportunities and converts them successfully into business opportunities.
Builds-up and maintains an in-depth, comprehensive knowledge and expertise on product portfolio.
Manages leads & opportunities throughout the entire chain from identification till successful contract closure.
Expands collaborative network of KOL advocators.
Creates, maintains and nurtures relationships with key accounts, ensuring highest satisfaction levels and fostering long-term partnerships with users, customers and prospect including radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, medical physicists and healthcare executives.
Collaborates productively with cross-functional teams.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures in all channel partner activities.
Represents at relevant exhibitions and congresses.
The Successful Applicant
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelors degree in Business Management, Engineering, or in a related field.
Around 7 years working experience in both direct & in-direct sales in the medical device industry in ASEAN - ideally in capital equipment business such as radiology, radiation therapy or a similar therapeutical medical discipline.
Hands-on expertise with SalesForce CRM, sales reporting and ERP systems.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills including the ability to present complex technology to healthcare professionals.
Excellent, effective communication skills including written and spoken English. Additional ASEAN-relevant languages are of advantage.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task and prioritize high workload.
Proven track record of successfully managing and growing channel partnerships
Successful experience as a sales representative or sales channel manager having consistently met or exceeded targets.
Sales driven individual, with a strong desire to excel.
Advanced negotiation and contract management skills including the ability to negotiate throughout a complex acquisition process.
Possess strong work ethics and business integrity.
Ability to travel frequently (typically >50% of regional and overseas travel).
Having successfully worked in a multinational, corporate setting including matrix organisations.
Must have direct sales and distributor management experience
Experience in big medical capital equipment, ASEAN coverage
Hands-on person
Individual contributor with no team members. Have the product marketing team to support the product explanation
