We are looking for A top network expert, titled a Principal Network Architect. This role will be responsible for the overall strategic design, implementation leadership, and expert-level operation of an enterprises multi-vendor network infrastructure. This individual is a subject matter expert (SME) who provides technical leadership and ensures the network is secure, scalable, and resilient, utilizing hands-on expertise with products from vendors such as Cisco , Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.

Key Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Design: Lead the design and development of high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) network plans for complex LAN/WAN, data center (Spine-and-Leaf, ACI/Apstra), and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure). This includes creating network migration plans and ensuring robust security practices are integrated into all designs.
Multi-Vendor Configuration & Implementation: Provide hands-on configuration and technical leadership for the deployment of network devices from various vendors, including Cisco routers/switches, Juniper devices, Fortinet FortiGates, and Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls.
Operations & Troubleshooting (Tier 3/4): Serve as a top-tier expert for complex incident resolution, performing deep-dive root cause analysis (RCA) of multi-vendor network issues using tools like Wireshark. Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of all network systems.
Security & Compliance: Design and implement comprehensive network security measures, including managing Next-Generation Firewall policies (URL filtering, threat prevention, IPS/IDS), VPNs (IPsec, SSL VPNs), and network access controls (NAC). Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
Strategic Planning & Mentorship: Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, network automation) to senior management and define future technology roadmaps. Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and best practices.
Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs, implementation plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Enforce network engineering principles and standards across the organization.
Required Technical Expertise
Routing Protocols: In-depth, hands-on knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
Switching & Data Center: Expertise in L2/L3 switching, VLANs, VTP, HSRP/VRRP, and data center technologies such as Cisco Nexus platforms and ACI.
Firewalls & Security: Proficient in configuring and managing Palo Alto (PAN-OS/Panorama), Fortinet (FortiOS), Cisco (ASA/Firepower), and Juniper (SRX) firewalls.
Cloud & Virtualization: Experience with hybrid cloud networking, including connectivity to AWS, Azure, or GCP environments, and knowledge of virtualization platforms like VMware.
Automation: Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform) to streamline operations and configuration management is increasingly important.

Qualifications & Experience
Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and architecture roles in large enterprise environments.
Education: A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is often required.
Certifications: Relevant advanced certifications are highly valued, such as Cisco CCIE (Routing & Switching, Security, or Data Center), Palo Alto PCNSE, or other expert-level vendor certifications.
Good Communication and Writing Skills in English language is must.
Willing to work on a Dayshift, Hybrid set up (3x per week) and in Ortigas, Pasig City.
