About The Role
The Market Area Manager – Philippines is responsible for driving commercial growth, market development and customer engagement for DNV Energy Systems across the Philippine market.
The role has full accountability for sales performance, pipeline development and market positioning across all DNV Energy Systems services, with a primary focus on renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and emerging power system opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Own and drive market‑level sales performance in the Philippines, including sales pipeline growth, order intake and revenue across the full Energy Systems portfolio.
- Develop and execute a country market strategy aligned with regional and global Energy Systems priorities.
- Identify and act on market opportunities, including customer investment plans, regulatory and policy developments, and competitive dynamics in the Philippine energy sector.
- Actively manage the sales funnel, ensuring high‑quality opportunities, disciplined follow‑up and timely conversion from early engagement through contract award.
- Drive cross‑ and up‑selling by mobilising DNV’s capabilities across Business Areas, Business Units and Services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, regulators and industry stakeholders, positioning DNV as a trusted partner in the Philippine energy transition.
- Act as project sponsor for key or complex projects, ensuring delivery quality, consistency and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the voice of the market and the customer internally, contributing market insight to regional planning, prioritisation and decision‑making.
- As part of the broader market responsibility, the role includes key account ownership for Aboitiz Group and ACEN, two important customers that represent a significant share of DNV’s Energy Systems business in the Philippines. This includes maintaining senior‑level relationships, developing account plans, driving opportunity shaping and pipeline development, supporting pricing and bid quality decisions, capturing customer feedback, and ensuring structured use of Salesforce/CRM.
- The role reports to the Regional Business Development Director and works closely with regional and global Energy Systems teams.

About You
Proven experience in business development, sales, market management and/or key account management within the energy, infrastructure or related technical sectors.
Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships at multiple levels, including senior stakeholders.
Experience driving sales pipeline development, order intake and revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
Exposure to the renewable energy and/or power sector, with understanding of project‑based sales and long sales cycles.
Experience working across cross‑functional and multidisciplinary teams, and influencing without direct line management responsibility.
Prior experience managing or coaching others is an advantage but not mandatory.
Skills
Strong commercial and market awareness, with the ability to translate customer needs into value‑adding solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging customers, partners and internal teams.
Structured and disciplined approach to sales execution and opportunity management.
Comfortable working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) as the primary tool for managing accounts, opportunities and pipeline.
Proficient in standard business software tools (e.g. Microsoft Office suite).
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Filipino or other local languages is an advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Energy, or a related discipline.
Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of specific academic background.
Eligibility to work in the Philippines.
