Handle a diverse range of litigation cases, including but not limited to, civil, criminal, and administrative matters.
Develop and execute effective litigation strategies, from case initiation to trial or settlement.
Conduct thorough case assessments to determine the best course of action.
Draft and prepare all necessary legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
Ensure all legal documents are accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
Represent the Company in court, before judicial, quasi-judicial, and administrative bodies.
Effectively present arguments and evidence in hearings and trials.
Advise the Company on legal matters across various domains, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Monitor and interpret changes in legislation and jurisprudence.
Conduct legal research and provide expert opinions on complex legal issues.
Advise various business units to provide legal guidance and support.
Communicate effectively with internal clients, colleagues, and external parties.
Handle legal inquiries and address concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Identify and assess potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
Participate in professional development activities to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Chief Legal Officer, or of the head for Litigation, including, but not limited to legal research, case study, and the likes.
Perform other administrative functions, related to the functions of his/her office.
Qualifications
Law Degree (Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor).
Minimum of seven (7) years of litigation experience.
Proven experience in handling diverse criminal cases, including filing, prosecution, and defense.
Demonstrated organizational skills, strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Willingness to travel for hearings throughout the Philippines.
Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to quickly adapt to organizational culture and values.
