Job Description

As the Head of Sales Operations - Global FMCG, your responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development and execution of the national Modern Trade strategy, ensuring alignment with channel priorities and category objectives.
  • Identify market trends, growth drivers, and category opportunities to strengthen competitiveness across key retailers.
  • Drive best‑in‑class in‑store execution through close coordination with field teams, merchandising partners, and regional sales leads.
  • Oversee activation programs such as promotions, planogram compliance, product launches, and visibility initiatives across regional stores.
  • Monitor and improve in‑store performance KPIs including availability, OSA, penetration metrics, and competitive presence.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to enhance forecasting accuracy, fill rates, replenishment processes, and stock management.
  • Resolve operational issues related to logistics, delivery performance, and inventory challenges at the store and regional level.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Managers and field teams to build capability in negotiation, analytics, and customer management.
  • Ensure rigorous governance of trade investments, compliance with sales strategies, and consistent execution of 4Ps in-store.
  • Conduct performance reviews, field visits, and business assessments to drive accountability, optimize resource deployment, and improve overall regional results.


The Successful Applicant

  • Extensive experience in FMCG commercial roles with expertise in Modern Trade.
  • Proven track record managing major retail customers and leading large, multi-layered teams.
  • Strong capabilities in retail data analytics, forecasting, and using insights to drive strategy.
  • Deep understanding of category management, shopper behavior, and channel execution.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with mastery of trade spend, profitability management, and operational excellence.
