Role Overview

The Global Tax Officer role is responsible for assisting the tax team in managing direct tax and indirect tax activities for the Nuix group. The Global Tax Officer will be part of a tax team that works closely with business partners and members of the tax team to ensure the Group is well-positioned in all tax matters, including compliance, reporting, advisory, planning, etc., in all of the Group’s operating jurisdictions (APAC, EMEA and Americas). Directly report to Group Tax Manager based in Australia.

This role will be primarily a flexible remote working arrangement in the Philippines as part of our Regional Operating Head Quarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing tax returns for income tax and indirect taxes including value-added tax, GST, FBT, withholding tax, etc.
• Assist with monthly compliance tasks including external tax filings and internal month-end tasks.
• Prepare jurisdictional and consolidated tax provision calculations for the half-year/ year-end Group’s financial statements
• Assist in preparing tax-related disclosures as part of the preparation of the Group’s financial statements.
• Assist in transfer pricing matters including transfer pricing related calculations and transfer pricing documentation.
• Assist with management of online tax accounts with relevant tax offices and revenue departments
• Assist with ad-hoc projects to provide tax supports to the broader finance team and the business.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant field from a recognized and approved program.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in taxation and tax accounting, with big 4 tax compliance and consulting experience being highly desirable.
• Experience in global tax matters (such as Australia, EMEA, Americas and other APAC regions).
• A "can-do" attitude and a proven track record of on-the-job learning is highly valued.
• Strong attention to details and ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills in English.
