Your Role:

As a Financial Accountant, you will:

• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Conduct variance analysis for profit and loss statements
• Prepare month-end and year-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
• Execute month-end closing procedures
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data prior to submission to senior accountants
• Maintain and manage the fixed asset register and perform fixed asset accounting
• Proactively identify reconciliation and posting issues and seek resolution
• Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes
• Engage with stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand
• Use initiative to improve processes and support team goals

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial accounting; Australian-based experience desirable
• Proficiency in popular accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP, Oracle)
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player
