Salary: P50,000 - P70,000 (Monthly Package)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (07:00 AM-04:00 PM PHT)

What are we looking for?

Skills Required

  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Construction, Building & Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related engineering studies.
  • 2–5 years of experience in estimating within construction, infrastructure, or a related trade (electrical, civil, or mechanical).
  • Experience preparing competitive tenders across scopes such as partition ceilings, facades, external cladding, fencing, and landscaping.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian construction standards and procurement practices.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and calculate accurate quantities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ability to build structured cost models.
  • Experience with Aroflo or similar project/estimating software.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including ability to raise RFIs and clarify scope with clients.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to balance competitive pricing and risk management.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability in estimating and project cost management.

Software Proficiency:

  • Access to Aroflo software, email, and ground plans.
  • Familiarity with supplier portals (L&H, AWM, Middys) for sourcing quotes.
  • Use of Cable Cal Pro and Cable Calc for electrical load and design calculations (if applicable).
  • Knowledge of curing compounds, assemblies, and construction material specifications.

What will you do?

Tender Management & Estimating

  • Create and manage quotes in Aroflo, ensuring accuracy of information and timely follow-ups.
  • Review job specifications and drawings to fully understand project scope, risks, and deliverables.
  • Complete detailed take-offs for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor works.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) in Aroflo for accurate pricing.
  • Apply accurate allowances, inclusions, exclusions, and contingencies to all estimates.
  • Mark up project drawings and plans to ensure all items are accounted for in cost schedules.
  • Design and calculate max demand and cable runs, sizes, and types as required.
  • Use supplier RFQs and comparison to ensure competitive and reliable pricing.
  • Review and finalise estimates to confirm accuracy of costs, inclusions, and margins before submission.

Subcontractor & Supplier Engagement

  • Issue RFIs (Requests for Information) to clients when specifications or scope details are unclear.
  • Request supplier and subcontractor quotes, preparing comparison matrices for accuracy, risk, and capability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with trusted suppliers and subcontractors to support competitive pricing.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Work closely with the Lead Estimator and project teams to review assumptions, risk items, and inclusions/exclusions.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, estimating templates, and ISO-aligned standards.
  • Provide documentation of assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, and estimate revisions for transparency.
  • Participate in handovers, ensuring that cost assumptions are clearly communicated to project teams.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the development of centralised estimating databases and cost libraries.
  • Support troubleshooting of estimating or pricing issues during project delivery.
  • Provide feedback on estimating processes and suggest improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
